PLATFORM OF YOUNG CHOREOGRAPHERS 2006.

Dear our artists,
The Platform this year takes place by the new schedule. From 8th to 15th 2006.
Owing to which reason? The reason is big and justified... It took some time to prepare a new, fresh, more quality, stronger and richer in program platform.
This is the 7th Platform. There is experience behind us. That experience has confirmed that the Platform of Young Choreographers arises from the desire and need of young generation of choreographers to present their work in public.
By so far organization and development of the initial idea we have proved the capability of improvement and progress, the consistency in conducting the program and have made solid foundations for further upgrade of the Platform, as well as demonstrating professionalism in realization.
It was the Platform where the majority of currently active young Croatian choreographers performed for the first time. The Platform has thus justified its purpose as the venue open for establishment of young choreographers and dance performers.
Of course, at this point we wish to proceed. We wish to open the borders and offer to choreographers and dance performers regional cooperation and presence on international stages.
That is why in January 2006 we initiated the network of partners and organizations of similar profiles and programs, which will enable partnership based corporation, faster development, competitiveness and better quality, greater possibilities of financial support by organizations, foundations and government due to high rank project and influences. Such projects will serve as a gathering point of young, dance artists and choreographers from whole Croatia and abroad.
The action has been named “From the platform to choreographic center and will be held in the next 7 years.
We hope that the result of that network will be construction of choreographic center that will host and serve for work and education for all of You.
Extended program and updates from this year's platform are just the beginning.
We hope You will enjoy and that every dancer, choreographer and dance fan will recognize their interest in it.
