Silk (Svila) je istraživanje o svili. Svilu proizvodi nekolicina insekata, poput pčela, osa, mrava, moljaca i paukova.

Silk is a research on Silk. Silks are produced by several insects such as bees, wasps, ants, moths and spiders. Silk has a shimmering appearance, due to its structure, managing to refract incoming light at different angles. The larva of the insect has to undergo complete metamorphosis to produce silk.

Silk deals with Florentina’s fantasies and imagination. Silk was conceived at the end of her arts education, as a welcome present for the real world outside that is threatening but also fine. She invited S. M. Snider to accompany her on this journey. In this work she tries to confront her fears and go beyond. She invites the audience to become witness to a story that circulates around dream and real. A character appears, a storyline appears, a drama unfolds. When is fake fake, and when does fake become real? When does the real appear to be fake, and what is real anyway? Whatever is being proposed, from however fake or real a source, at the moment of interception between performers and audience members as participants, what counts is the energy of exchange.

“I come from a small world, where everybody is rehearsing a lot every day. The performance takes place a lot, daily and nightly. No performance is ever cancelled for any reason. Even giving birth is part of the daily practice. It’s actually the only real performance. I give birth to performances every day.”- Justice
