BEZ! OBZIRA. NA SVE?
performans
koncept/izvedba: Jan Rozman

U BEZ! OBZIRA.

NO! MATTER. WHAT?
performance
concept/onstage: Jan Rozman

In NO! MATTER! WHAT? Jan Rozman engages in an intimate relationship with the nonliving performative environment. He treats things as if they were his friends, enemies or maybe strangers. Or perhaps lovers. The piece goes totally anthropomorphic, playing with this old and widely spread tendency of attributing human properties to nonliving entities as an attempt of coping with loneliness and an ironic kick to the egoistic thought but also as an exercise in empathy. It is working on the borders of object- and subject-ivities, questioning our perception and interpretation of the environments.

Jan Rozman is a dancer, performer, improviser and maker practicing thinking with a body and dancing with the thoughts. Imagination has a special place in his work which is mostly concentrated around a stage. He is using the body with all of its extensions and every other theatrical device available to communicate a message. The biggest questions bothering him are usually revolving around the human condition, human position and human relationship with the environment. He studied contemporary dance at Arts Gymnasium in Ljubljana and choreography at SNDO, Amsterdam and is now doing a master’s degree in solo/dance/authorship at HZT in Berlin. He is also a certified physiotherapist, graduated at Faculty of Health Sciences in Ljubljana, using his knowledge of movement and body for therapeutic use.
