Udovolji mi, molim te (Please, please me)

Usuditi se istražiti ideju očekivanja i razočaranja. Kako ocjenjujemo stvari? Možemo li priznati kvalitetu na osnovi razočaranja?

Možemo li pratiti žudnju i slobodu uokvirenu na neočekivan način?

Pokušat ćemo biti hrabri i drski, izložiti vlastitu interpretaciju „zadovoljavanja“ vas kao promatrača, publike i osoba.

Working on my recent piece “What’s Left,” I was asked the following question by a peer: “Why don’t you satisfy me in your choreography?”

That encounter didn’t help me finalize that piece, but it did intrigue me to touch upon this invisible truth. What does Pleasing or Satisfying mean? Do we all get satisfied by the same things? Does it mean that we must be sufficient, fulfill or conform to the requirements in our artistic presentation? Can we find a sense of freedom in not satisfying?

A young male performer will present a performance attempting to satisfy, to conform in a physical way, in many ways… Daring to research the notion of expectations and disappointment. How do we evaluate things? Can we acknowledge quality based on disappointment?

Can we follow desire and freedom framed in an unexpected way?

We will try to be bold and impudent, presenting our own interpretation of “pleasing” you as a spectator, an audience, a person.
