SIZIFOV PINK/O.N.E.

Novi projekt autorskog tima O.N.E. kao polazišnu točku za novi multimedijalni projekt uzima mit o Sizifu. Sizifu, apsurdnom heroju, Sizifu kao simbolu upornosti i besmisla, Sizifu kojeg ipak na kraju treba zamisliti sretnim. Lik MsPink pojavljuje se kao netko, tj. nešto što simbolizira sustav i kȏd potrošačkog društva, konzumerizma, ono što nam se kontinuirano nameće kao bitno, dok je u suštini prijeko nebitno i apsurdno. Ti apsurdi neprekidnog i kružnog kretanja uzimaju princip loop-a i tako loop postaje osnovni gradbeni blok videa. U videu se pojavljuju tri glavna izvođača, čije je kretanje ponovno obilježeno ponavljajućim sekvencama i međusobnim nalaženjem i razmimoilaženjem. Sama video projekcija razlomljena je u više djelova, povezanih ali prostorno rascijepljenih. Prvi je dio sastavljen od tri kvadrata slike, koji tvore zajedničku cjelinu i kontinuitet. Drugi je dio niz od više zasebnih videa, tj. pojedinih kvadrata iz prvog dijela, koji funkcioniraju svaki sam za sebe, na posve drugoj lokaciji.

Sizif će tako propitivati apsurdnost kretanja koje ne pokreće (ne pokreće dalje i ne pokreće naprijed, nego se uvijek vraća na početak) kao i upornost ustrajanja koje uvijek iznova vodi na početnu točku, te volju da se ipak ponovno pokrene. Isto tako, na vizualnoj razini, propitivat će zakonitosti fragmenta u službi cjeline, kao i cjeline u službi fragmenta. Na razini gledatelja i u tradiciji radova O.N.E, Projekt Sizifov Pink ponovno će propitivati gledateljsku percepciju: razlomljeno, istovremeno percipiranje ponuđenih materijala koji će se tek gledateljevim trudom spojiti u cjelinu s novim značenjem.

Sizif je stara priča. Svi znamo priču o Sizifu – čovjeku koji gura svoj kamen uzbrdo iz dana u dan, za nikakvu nagradu. Tko je Sizif danas? Jesmo li to svi? Biramo li to biti? Odgovor na to pitanje možda treba prepustiti svakome ponaosob. Ali što kada bi Sizif kamen gurao radi privida smisla, samo kako bi došao do nekog obećanog, boljeg života koji mu drugi obećaju? Života u kojem je sve lijepo. U kojem je sve lakše. U kojem su ljudi savršeni, baš ono što žele biti. Kao na reklami.

Sizifov Pink ne nudi odgovore. Ali zato nudi posve drugačiji pogled na plesni video – pun suptilnog humora i dopadljiv. Sizifov pink poigrava se formom reklame, dočekujući vas tako, neizbježno, na ulicama i trgovima, čak i u gradskim izlozima. Sve to naravno, u prepoznatljivoj visoko-estetiziranoj i istovremeno simpatičnoj i bliskoj formi umjetničke organizacije O.N.E., autorice Martine Nevistić.

 

MARTINA NEVISTIĆ Autorica, izvođačica, pedagoginja. Osnivačica je O.N.E. umjetničke organizacije (www.one-art.hr )preko koje se bavi autorskim radom na području izvedbe i multimedije. Njen rad je kontinuirano podržan od HIPPa/ Zagrebački plesni centar i Udruge DOMINO/ Festival Perforacije. Također, članica je Zagrebačkog plesnog ansambla. Diplomirala je Organizaciju i management u Zagrebu i ples na Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD) u Austriji, usavršavala se u Briselu i Berlinu, te završila edukacijski program Nomadske plesne akademije.

Sisyphus Pink

Starting point of new multimedia project of O.N.E. is myth about Sisyphus. Sisyphus as absurd hero, a symbol of persistence and nonsense, which at the end we should imagine happy. Second point is a character of MsPink, as someone or something that imposes continuous importance, symbolizes consumption society, consumerism, and while essentially not important at all, actually absurd. This absurdity of continuous and circular movement takes the principle of loop, which becomes the basic structure of building up video. In the video, there are three main performers, whose movement is again characterized by repetitive sequences, failings in and out, divergence to and from, and MsPink as a protagonist of a concept. Further point of this project is that video projection is triptych, but broken into two, that is four parts, connected but spatially split: first video is spatially broken into three parts and three separate projections. Regardless of separation between the frame and the place, projections inter-operate and communicate embracing the space. Second video connects that three in one unity, but the location is completely separated from them. Sisyphus questions the absurdity of the movement, which does not start up and does not start ahead, but always returns to the beginning, with higher instance (MsPink) who operates it all. As well as the persistence that always leads to the starting point, and the will that restarts. Likewise, on the visual level, it is questioning systems of fragment in the service of the whole, as the whole in the service of the fragment. On the level of the viewer, and in tradition of works of O.N.E., this project questions the visual perception: fractured, but in the same time perceived material, what will bring the whole new meaning with spectators’ effort of connecting it.

 

Myth of Sisyphus is an old story. We all know the story of Sisyphus – a man pushing his rock up the hill every day, for no reward. But who is Sisyphus today? Are we all him? Do we choose to be him? The answer to this question may be left to each individual. But what if Sisyphus was pushing the stone just for the illusion of meaning, just to get to a promised better life, a better life that others promised him? Life where everything is beautiful. Where everything is easier. Where people are perfect, just as they want themselves to be. Just as in the advertisement.

Sisyphus Pink doesn’t offer answers.  But instead, this piece offers us completely different view on the dance videos, with its appealing, subtle humor. Sisyphus Pink plays with the form of advertisment, welcoming you inevitably in the streets and squares and even in shop windows. All packed in recognizable high-aestheticised, but simultaneously charming and familiar expression of O.N.E. art company, and the author of this project, Martina Nevistić.

 

MARTINA NEVISTIĆ Author, performer, pedagogue. She is founder of O.N.E. art company (www.one-art.hr) where she is doing her author work in the field of performing arts and multimedia. Her work is continuously supported by HIPP/ Zagreb dance center and DOMINO/ Festival Perforations. Also, she is member of Zagreb dance company. She finished her studies of Organization and management in Zagreb and at Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), Austria. She gain more experience in Bruxelles and Berlin and at Nomad dance academy education program.
