PLATFORMA HR 2018

PLATFORMAHR_karta

Kroz različite sadržaje, strukture i formate, plesni i izvedbeni umjetnici razmijenjuju svoja znanja, iskustva, razmišljanja, ideje, individualne i kolektivne pristupe plesu, kritički promišljaju, analiziraju i razgovaraju o stanju, položaju i razvoju suvremene plesne scene.
Ove godine, prostor Ilice 69, uz podršku Platforme HR, plesna scena pretvara u prostor zajedničkog djelovanja s ciljem predlaganja modela korištenja i ostvarivanja dugoročnog rješenja prostorne infrastrukture.
Namjera ovakvog izdanja Platforme HR je kroz interdisciplinarnost i intermedijalnost cijelog projekta  potaknuti interes šire zajednice za ples i plesnu umjetnost, plesne predstave približiti građanima, učiniti ih dostupnijima, te ih interaktivno uključiti u umjetničke procese i invencije. Kroz dijalog unutar same plesne zajdnice i s projektom Ilica: Q’ART ujedinjeni smo u ovogodišnjoj krilatici CONNECT/IN/DANCE.

Program ovogodišnje Platforme HR ostvaruje se kroz nekoliko aktivnosti:

The 19th edition of Platforma HR will be held from May 18th to 26th 2018 in Zagreb

Platforma HR is a space of gathering dance artists, choreographers, dancers, authors, audiences, but it is also a point where Croatian, regional and international dance scenes connect. Through different contents, structures and formats, dance and performance artists exchange their knowledge, experience, thoughts ideas, individual and collective approaches to dance, they critically revolve, analyze and talk about the condition, position and development of the contemporary dance scene.

Inspired by the continuity, but also by the actuality of the problems of space resources in the Croatian dance scene, that is the problem of a non-existing adequate space for work and performance, we have directed the whole concept of Platforma HR towards introducing, rising awareness and educating wider cultural and social community with the problematics of the dance scene. In this context we established a dialogue within the dance community itself, but also initiated cooperation with stakeholders of the Q’ART project. This project indicates the problem of unused work, production and public spaces throughout the most frequent Zagreb street, Ilica , recognizing them as a common good that can adopt cultural and artistic contents, increase their visibility, gather people and encourage them to use these contents outside the usual institutional framework. We want to revitalize a part of urban structure and activate its cultural and artistic potentials.

Collaboration of Platforma HR with the Q’ART project will be realized by actors of the dance scene entering in several unused spaces in Ilica Street, intervening in the space, with their bodies, movement, voice and transforming it into performance, work, rehearsal spaces, giving them new functions, forms, purposes and identity.

This year, the dance scene turns the space in Ilica Street 69, with the support of Platforma HR, into a space of mutual action with the goal of proposing a model of utilization and achieving long-term solutions of spatial infrastructure.

The intention of this edition of Platforma HR is to encourage interest of the wider community for dance and dance art, through interdisciplinarity and intermediality of the whole project, to make dance shows more accessible to citizens, also to interactively engage them in artistic processes and inventions. Through the dialog and collaboration within our local dance scene and community and Project Ilica:Q’ART we are together under the slogan: CONNECT/IN/DANCE.

The program of this year’s Platforma HR is realized through several activities:

1)      Program that is connected with the presentation of the national dance scene which associations UPUH and PULS came up with – the presentation will be held in the space of Ilica Street 69

2)      Research projects connected to artistic processes through TASK project

3)      Performance-discussion model realized through the collaboration with NDA CRO. NDA CRO acts as an open platform that revolves, with a series of public projects, specific needs of the dance scene on both a local and a national level. This model will be presented on Platforma HR in the format of Talk Talk Roulette and Peep Show

4)      A selection of shows by the organizer – Tala Dance Center has selected several recent shows by Croatian artists whose adaptive and custom versions are shown in the performance part of the festival.

5)      Programs connected to urban culture and youth through Streetforma festival

The Ilica project is a 5-year research project, whose goal is to encourage the cultural-artistic development of the city of Zagreb by developing a collective vision and adequate models of participative governance of abandoned spaces, and by including artists, civic society organizations, educational institutions, trades and citizens.

Aware of the time we live and work in, mostly structured within the socio-economic context, and the specifics of the transitional post-socialistic heritage, in the years to come we will work on development of strategies and strengthening of infrastructural capacities of culture from the bottom up on local levels.

We will also, within the wider project, deal with material conditions and educational potentials of cultural and artistic production and the range of their social function in the time of neoliberal politics. Also, with the urbanistic aspects of Zagreb’s deindustrialization, and the forms of de-urbanization in the light of thinking about adequate models of sustainable usage of empty city spaces today.

The festival part of the Ilica project: Q’ART will be held from May 18th to 25th and will revive 20-something vacant locations in Ilica Street and fill them with a rich and protean cultural-artistic program: exhibitions, concerts, dance performances and performances, educational workshops for children and youth, street shows, flea market, open-air movie screenings and other pop-up surprise events.

The integral vision of the project is launching a cultural-artistic production in communication with the local community, which will communicate with the society and period in which it emerges, and try to ensure a platform that would be an active participant in the processes of broadcasting the forgotten sociality and culture in the community.
