TASK 12 – Dušan Murić / Break a Leg

Autor Task-a: Dušan Murić (SRB)

Break a Leg Reactor: Sandra Fijan (HR)

Mentor: Iva Nerina Sibila

Izvodi: Sandra Fijan

Glazba: As I sat sadly by her side, Nick Cave; The great Dictator’s speech (Charlie Chaplin, from the movie The Great Dictator)

Sukob slobode i norme, sukob liberalne građanske osobnosti i povijesne determiniranosti, sukob kulture i autentična „primitivizma“, sukob čovjeka kao generičkoga i društvenoga bića.

TASK 11 / Break a Leg Reactor

Autor of task: Dušan Murić (SRB)

Break a Leg Reactor: Sandra Fijan (HR)

Mentor: Iva Nerina Sibila

Performer: Sandra Fijan

Music: As I sat sadly by her side, Nick Cave; The great Dictator’s speech (Charlie Chaplin, from the movie The Great Dictator)

Its hero, who starts the “bottom”, the sphere of physical, instincts, passions, and climbing “in the air” intellectual and cognitive acts destroys organic experience, precognition, the hero then as a kind of “Episteme”, not only paradigm, trying their attitude to challenge the tradition of its value – the family, morality, to the erotic, ethics, aesthetics and literature. Conflict of freedom and norms of liberal civil conflict personalities and historical determinism, culture clash and authentic “primitivism” as a generic human conflict and social beings. As a normal consequence of this attitude stems and saving formula individualism: anarchy.

Sandra Fijan (born 1986, Zagreb) after finishing an education at the School for ballet and rhytmics (Zagorska, Zagreb) and Contemporary dance school Ana Maletić (Zagreb) continued her education under a full schoolarship at Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, Germany, where she graduated in 2011. In that time she works and do workshops with many artist and dancers such as Johannes Wieland, Evangelos Poulinas, David Zambrano, Juan Kruz Diaz de Garaio Esnaola, Barbara Kaufmann and Kenji Takagi etc.  After graduation she went to London to take workshops and classes with Hofesh Shechter company. As she returned to Zagreb, she did a piece ‘ Borderlines 2 ‘ from Nensi Ukrainczyk (Zagreb) and in that time took classes with Studio for contemporary dance.
